The Food Bank Ministry of Capital Park is a cooperative effort with the Marion County Foodshare and occasional donations from the local area Boy Scout Council. For the week of January 21st, a total of 141 people were served which represented 41 familys. This tops the more recent averages of about 35 families per week. The food is now being delivered to the food bank on Tuesdays in the shiny new M.C. Foodshare truck. When it arrives, volunteers wheel it into the storeroom where Mr. and Mrs. "Lee" and John and Tina organize it to the shelves for distribution on Thursday. Families must be registered to receive a food box, and may only participate in the foodshare program once each month.
