Library and Resources

One of the most valuable resources your family or church can have is a reference library to search for answers to life's questions.  We are attempting to enhance our online community by compiling a list of resource materials that may be helpful.  The list is not exhaustive and not all material listed may represent the opinions and doctrine of Capital Park Wesleyan Church.  These materials are submitted by church members who have found them valuable.  You can submit a book or article by emailing a short recommendation ( 50 - 75 words), the name of the book, author, the ISBN number, the date it was published to raye@capitalpark.org.

Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions: Why your children should be your church's #1 priority, George Barna, Zondervan Publishing House, 2003, ISBN 0-8307-3293-4
This is a challenging an great read!

I like what George Barna has to say, "God's plan is for families to lead in the provision of spiritual development for their children.  Churches certainly have a viable role in that process....the local church should be an intimate and valuable partner in the effort to raise the coming generation of Christ's followers as church leaders, but it is the parent's whom God will hold accountable for the spiritual maturation of their children.  (submitted by Pastor Ray Ethell, 12/2/2007)
